PURPOSE: To obtain the Council’s approval of a motion authorizing the Executive to sign Amendment 1 to an Agreement between the County and Evergreen Recovery Centers (ERC) for services supporting the Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion (LEAD) Program and the Recovery Navigator Program (RNP).  ERC provides essential case management services to participants in the RNP and LEAD Program.

BACKGROUND: The Prosecuting Attorney’s Office (PAO) administers three grants for the implementation of the LEAD Program and RNP.  These grants are from the Washington State Health Care Association (HCA), the US Dept. of Justice Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulant, and Substance Use Program (COSSUP), and the North Sound Behavioral Health - Administrative Services Organization (NS BH-ASO).  The PAO uses these grant funds to reimburse ERC, which provides case management services to program participants.  Amendment 1 extends the term of the existing contract to June 30, 2026, and increases the maximum amount not to exceed $1,670,000.
