PURPOSE: Council to approve Puget Sound Energy Low-Income Weatherization contract PSE-EE-LIW-010 Amendment 9
BACKGROUND: The 2023 Puget Sound Energy LIW Grant provides funding for low-income weatherization services of gas heated units. The outcome of this program is to improve the energy efficiency and health & safety of dwellings owned or occupied by eligible low-income persons/participants. The original contract was issued for January 1, 2017, through December 31, 2017, and has been renewed yearly through subsequent amendments. Amendment 9 includes $260,000.00 in Gas Tariff Funds, $20,852.00 in Shareholder Funds, and $142,303.53 in Macquarie Funds. Contract amendment period is January 1, 2023, through December 31, 2023. Total combined grant funding for 2023 is $423,155.53.
