PURPOSE: County Council to approve and authorize the Executive to sign the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) Agreement F22-92401F-422 Amendment A
BACKGROUND: The Washington State Department of Commerce Department of Energy has authorized Snohomish County Office of Energy and Sustainability to administer the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) Agreement in accordance with County, State, and Federal laws and regulations. The original amount of the agreement for the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) was in the amount of $311,179, the Department of Energy has awarded Snohomish County an amended amount of $735,060 for a new grant total of $1,046,239 and this amended amount was not included in the 2024 Grant Work Plan thus requiring Council approval.
