body

DEPARTMENT:  Conservation and Natural Resources

ORIGINATOR:  Jim Blankenbeckler

EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION:  Approve - Lacey Harper

PURPOSE: Approval of Motion 22-073 authorizing the director of Conservation and Natural Resources to approve Surface Water Management initiated task assignments under the Engineering Services, Transportation and Environmental Services and Real Property Public Works 2019-2022 On-Call Master Agreements.

BACKGROUND: Public Works manages an on-call program for various disciplines and subcategories used on an as-needed basis for emergency projects, time critical projects, and for elements of projects where the required expertise is not available. Surface Water Management (SWM) transitioned from a division in Public Works to a division in Conservation and Natural Resources changing SWM’s ability to execute Task Assignments requested by SWM under Public Works 2019-2022 on-call disciplines. This motion would authorize the Director of Conservation and Natural Resources to approve task assignments issued under the 2019-2022 on-call master agreements for Engineering Services, Transportation and Environmental Services, and Real Property disciplines for 2022. Efficient access to these non-SWM on-call disciplines will aid in delivery of the approved 2022 SWM budget and Grant Work Plan previously approved by Council.
