PURPOSE: To recommend the appointment of Debbie Fullerton to the Snohomish County Developmental Disabilities Citizen Advisory Board.
BACKGROUND: The Developmental Disabilities Citizen Advisory Board is comprised of citizens who serve in an advisory capacity to the Developmental Disability (DD) staff of the Snohomish County Human Services Department. The Board meets monthly and is comprised of up to 15 members, drawing from all areas of the county and a range of backgrounds, including family members, individuals with developmental disabilities, professionals and advocates. Ms. Fullerton resides in Council District 1 and has over 18 years of experience working in the field of developmental disabilities. Ms. Fullerton has a Master of Arts in Rehabilitation Counseling with multiple years of experience in public and private social services and strong knowledge in client-based services. Ms. Fullerton has worked as a case manager and supervisor for the Developmental Disabilities Administration, as well as a vocational director and as a residential counselor for individuals with developmental disabilities. Ms. Fullerton is not a member of any other County committee or council. Ms. Fullerton is recommended for an initial three-year term upon appointment.
