PURPOSE: To adopt amendments to the Appendix B - Growth Targets and Appendix A - Urban Growth Area and Municipal Urban Growth Area boundary maps of the Countywide Planning Policies based on the 2044 reconciled growth target recommendation and the updated UGA and MUGA map recommendation of Snohomish County Tomorrow.
BACKGROUND: This ordinance adopts amendments to the Appendix B - Growth Targets and Appendix A - Urban Growth Area (UGA) and Municipal Urban Growth Area (MUGA) boundary maps of the Countywide Planning Policies (CPPs) based on the 2044 reconciled growth target recommendation and the updated UGA and MUGA map recommendation of Snohomish County Tomorrow (SCT). These amendments respond to the CPP GF-5 and Appendix C requirement to review and reconcile discrepancies, if any, in adopted population, housing, and employment growth targets contained in updated city and county comprehensive plans using the SCT process. Updated UGA and MUGA maps in Appendix A of the CPPs that indicate jurisdictional areas associated with the 2044 reconciled targets are also included as part of the proposed amendments.
