EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION: Approve
PURPOSE: Approval of the Professional Services Agreement to engage agency medical staffing to supplement Corrections health care employees on an as needed basis.
BACKGROUND: Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Corrections Bureau operates a 24 hour/7 day per week medical department to serve the medical needs of the inmate population. The medical unit may require contract nursing and healthcare personnel to work various shifts in the clinic to temporarily supplement County staff. AB Staffing Solutions offers competitive rates and an option of bringing in as-needed temporary medical staff. This agreement is intended to be a supplemental agreement to our current agency staffing agreement (HealthPros NW). The current vendor cannot meet our staffing demands. Therefore we are seeking a supplemental vendor for these services.
