PURPOSE: Approval of Amendment No. 4 to Agreement PDB01-23 will allow Snohomish County Public Works to utilize Cornerstone General Contractors, Inc. to provide Progressive Design Builder Services necessary for the Arlington Operations Center Redevelopment project.
BACKGROUND: Snohomish County Public Works along with the Facilities department plans to redevelop the current Road/Bridge/Fleet Maintenance facility located at 19620 67th Ave NE in Arlington, WA The project will be phased with an initial Phase 1 scope to replace the road crew/administrative building, provide stormwater and utility improvements and mitigate the site’s soil contamination. In December 2023, Agreement PDB01-23 was executed between Snohomish County and Cornerstone General Contractors Inc. for the Arlington Operations Center Redevelopment Project. Since that time PW has processed three amendments which were approved by Council in February 2024 for Validation Phase services, August 2024 for Design Phase Services and July 2025 for the preliminary Granite Falls site construction work. PW has negotiated Amendment No. 4 to complete work at the Granite Falls site and for full construction at the Arlington site. The Guaranteed Maximum Price for this work is $25,215,490.00, plus sales tax.
