EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION: Approved
PURPOSE: For the Executive to approve and sign intergovermental services agreement with the City of Snohomish for lake management and water quality services of Blackmans Lake.
BACKGROUND: Blackmans Lake lies within the boundaries of the City of Snohomish, however a portion of the lake watershed remains in the unincorporated County. Therefore, the City and County share a common interest with respect to lake management and water quality issues. Snohomish County has provided water quality monitoring services for Blackmans Lake since January 2006 through an agreement with the City of Snohomish and has the staff and resources available to continue to provide this service. Under the proposed agreement the City will pay the County $24,750, which includes alum treatment, in 2025. Future years shall be determined on an annual basis. The agreement will extend through December 31, 2029.Executive approval is authorized under SCC 3.04.140(1) as this contract for intergovernmental services is for $50,000 or less.
