PURPOSE: Approval of Supplement No. 8 to Agreement CCF01-19 will allow Snohomish County Public Works to use Jacobs Engineering Group, Inc. to provide assistance during bidding and construction related design support for the roadway improvements project.

 

BACKGROUND: The Department of Public Works (PW) intends to improve 43rd Ave SE/Sunset Rd between SR 524 and 180th Street SE east of the Mill Creek city limits, in unincorporated Snohomish County. PW selected the consulting firm, Jacobs Engineering Group, Inc., using Federal, State and County policies and practices.   The initial agreement in the amount of $561,647.00 was approved by Council in December 2019. PW has since processed seven (7) supplements to the original agreement. Six were within the Council approved contingency amount and one was approved by Council in January 2021. PW has negotiated the services necessary for Jacobs to provide the County with final design services for Phase 1 and 2, assistance during bidding, and Construction related design support for both construction phases. Total payments for services under this supplement shall not exceed $1,436,987.00, for an amended total amount not to exceed $2,922,527.00.
