EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION:  Approved by Ken Klein 11/17/25

PURPOSE: Authorizing the County Executive to Sign Amendment No. 1 to the January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2027 Collective Bargaining Agreement between Snohomish County and the Washington State Council of County and City Employees, AFSCME, Local 1811-PA

BACKGROUND: Snohomish County and the Washington State Council of County and City Employees, AFSCME, AFL-CIO, Local 1811-PA are parties to a four-year agreement effective January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2027.  This agreement covers Deputy Prosecuting Attorneys in the Criminal and Family Support Divisions of the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.  The Agreement includes contract language authorizing a specific dollar amount for merit pay.  The language in the agreement describes the merit pay amount provided for the Criminal Division.  In addition to this, state-provided funds are used for merit pay in the Family Support Division.  This process is not currently outlined in the Agreement.  This amendment would codify the current practice of providing merit pay to the Family Support Division.
