ITEM TITLE:

Title

Motion 24-475, approving and authorizing the County Executive to execute an Interlocal Agreement with the City of Bothell (Bothell) to provide technology services

body

DEPARTMENT:  Information Technology

ORIGINATOR:  Dee White

EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION:  Ken Klein 11/6/24

PURPOSE: The purpose of the ECAF is to approve and execute a new five year Interlocal Agreement between City of Bothell and Snohomish County in order for the County to continue to provide technology services as needed.

BACKGROUND: In order to mutually benefit the County and the City of Bothell, both organizations agreed in 2014 and 2019 to share space within Snohomish County’s data center for the purpose of cross connections to the State, County, other participating agencies (Meet-Me Cabinet) and the Internet. In addition to City of Bothell, a number of other local agencies (City of Everett, Lynnwood, Arlington, Marysville, Snohomish, Mill Creek and Community Transit) have also established connectivity to the County. The current agreement will expire on December 11, 2024, and the City wishes to continue receiving services under a new five (5) year agreement with Snohomish County.  This new ILA allows for the City of Bothell to continue to request services from the County via Work Order (WO). The total cost of all WOs against this agreement shall not exceed $50,000 over the five (5) year term of the Agreement.  Due to Bothell’s Council calendar, the County will need to sign first. Expedited handling is requested to ensure the ILA is signed as soon as possible in order for the new agreement to be in place before the current agreement expires.
