PURPOSE: To adopt revised legal descriptions with surveyor maps for the City of Lake Stevens Southeast Interlocal Annexation
BACKGROUND: The attached motion recognizes that the City of Lake Stevens (city) has revised the legal descriptions and included surveyor maps for its proposed Southeast Interlocal Annexation since the city, Snohomish County, and the Lake Stevens Sewer District entered into an interlocal agreement (ILA), effective May 12, 2021 titled, Interlocal Agreement Between the City of Lake Stevens, Snohomish County, and the Lake Stevens Sewer District Concerning the Southeast Interlocal Annexation and the Orderly Transition of Services Pursuant to RCW 35A.14.296. The revised legal descriptions with surveyor maps were part of the city’s Notices of Intention submittal package to the Snohomish County Boundary Review Board (BRB). The BRB filed the two Notices of Intentions (File Nos. BRB 03-2021 and 04-2021) and commenced its 45-day review which expires on August 9, 2021. Further, the attached motion directs the County Clerk to replace the legal descriptions in the ILA with the legal descriptions and surveyor maps in File Nos. BRB 03-2021 and 04-2021 all of which are included in Attachment B to the motion.
