PURPOSE: To authorize the County Executive to execute a contract with Smith Fire Systems, Inc., pursuant to RFP-027-21BC for Fire Suppression System Services at Snohomish County Airport.
BACKGROUND: .
Ø Snohomish County Airport requires Fire Suppression System services including periodic inspection and testing, prescribed reporting elements, maintenance, and repair service for fire pumps and sprinklers and related equipment at various Airport locations to ensure the protection of County-owned facilities at Snohomish County Airport.
Ø Snohomish County and Washington State Fire Code require periodic inspection and testing of fire protection and life safety systems and it is a requirement of many Airport lease agreements to maintain these systems.
Ø Smith Fire Systems, Inc. has been selected as the most qualified candidate per RFP-027-21BC, is highly recommended in the Puget Sound region for fire suppression services and has been in business for over 35 years.
