PURPOSE: To obtain Executive approval on the Energy Audit Grant Agreement with WSAC
BACKGROUND: In 2024, the Washington Association of Counties (WSAC) introduced the Energy Audit Grant Program, which provides reimbursable payments for energy audits and other compliance work completed between July 1, 2024 and June, 30 2025. Facilities applied under this program for Energy Audits at the Airport 207 Building, Airport Future of Flight Building, Airport C1 Building, Health Department Building, and various other buildings for compliance work related to the Washington State Clean Buildings Act. The Application was reviewed by WSAC and approved in December of 2024. The attached agreement allows Snohomish County Facilities to receive $172,438 upon completion of the work. Facilities will continue to work closely with airport staff to ensure the correct funds are used to support this work initially and for those funds to be reimbursed by this grant per the appropriate protocols. This request is to Expedite as our grant window to complete work and receive reimbursement is very small and the funds are not guaranteed until the agreement is signed.
