PURPOSE: To recommend the re-appointment of Debbie Hoover to the Developmental Disabilities Citizen Advisory Board.
BACKGROUND: The Developmental Disabilities Citizen Advisory Board is comprised of citizens who serve in an advisory capacity to the Developmental Disability staff of the Snohomish County Human Services Department. The Board meets monthly, and is comprised of up to 15 members, drawing from all areas of the county and a range of backgrounds, including family members, individuals with developmental disabilities, professionals, and advocates.
• Debbie Hoover, resides in Council District 1
• Debbie Hoover is an advocate working to ensure individuals with developmental disabilities and their families have access to and receive the supports they need in their community
• Debbie Hoover has worked as a case manager, administrator, and supervisor for the Developmental Disabilities Administration, and as a vocational director and residential counselor for individuals with developmental disabilities Debbie Hoover currently works as a Special Education Analyst with the Marysville School District
• Debbie Hoover is not a member of any other County board or commission
• Debbie Hoover is recommended for an additional three-year term upon her 1st re-appointment
