PURPOSE: Council to approve Puget Sound Energy Low-Income Weatherization contract PSE-EE-LIW-101 Amendment 10
BACKGROUND: The 2024 Puget Sound Energy LIW Grant provides funding for low-income weatherization services of gas heated units. The outcome of this program is to improve the energy efficiency and health & safety of dwellings owned or occupied by eligible low-income persons/participants. The original contract was issued for January 1, 2017, through December 31, 2017, and has been renewed yearly through subsequent amendments. Amendment 10 includes $161.200.00 in Gas Tariff Funds, $20,852.00 in Shareholder Funds, and $122,145.67 in Macquarie Funds. Contract amendment period is January 1, 2024, through December 31, 2024. Total combined grant funding for 2024 is $304,197.67.
