body
DEPARTMENT: Central Human Resources
ORIGINATOR: Kathleen Kurjiaka
EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION: Approved (Ken Klein 8/23/24)
PURPOSE: Authorizing the Classification Plan and Salary Schedule for Prosecuting Attorney Career Retention System and Implementing Compensation Increases as Authorized in the 2024 Annual Budget for Unrepresented Deputy Prosecuting Attorneys.
BACKGROUND: Negotiations were recently completed for the AFSCME1811-PA collective bargaining agreement covering the Criminal and Family Support Deputies in the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office and ratified by the employee Union members. The agreement covers the time period of January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2027. This agreement provides for a 4.51% increase in pay effective January 1, 2024 for represented employees under this agreement as well as market adjustments. This motion affords the same increases in pay in 2024 to currently employed non-represented regular and temporary Deputy Prosecuting Attorneys under the Prosecuting Attorney Career Retentions System Classification Plan and Salary Schedule. Authority for the aforementioned pay increase is based upon Amended Ordinance 23-121.
