PURPOSE: Motion to appoint Ilse Gagnaire to the Developmental Disabilities Citizen Advisory Board.
BACKGROUND: The Developmental Disabilities Citizen Advisory Board is comprised of citizens who serve in an advisory capacity to the Developmental Disability staff of the Snohomish County Human Services Department. The Board meets monthly, and is comprised of up to 15 members, drawing from all areas of the county and a range of backgrounds, including family members, individuals with developmental disabilities, professionals, and advocates.
• Ilse Gagnaire resides in Council District 4
• Ilse Gagnaire holds a Masters in Social Work from the University of Michigan
• Ilse Gagnaire has served fourteen years at Seattle Children’s Hospital
• Ilse Gagnaire supports patients with disabilities and their families at the Neurodevelopmental Clinic, serving individuals from birth to twenty-one
• Ilse Gagnaire has partnered, or worked, with organizations around the County including, North Sound Accountable Community of Health (ACH), Child Strive, KidVantage, Developmental Disability Community Services, and The Arc
• Ilse Gagnaire is not a member of any other County board or commission
• Ilse Gagnaire is recommended for an initial three-year term upon her appointment
