BACKGROUND: The County and Marpac Construction entered into an agreement on December 18th, 2024, for the construction phase of the New Start Center of Everett. After the bid, the number of cabinets have increased due to the reconfiguration of some of the rooms. The materials for the cabinets are being upgrades for greater durability. Additional detailing for the cabinets at the accessible residential units is required due to exact field measurements, which the contractor was unreasonable for the contractor to verify during the short duration of the bid walk. The amount for this scope has been negotiated down from $140,801.
