PURPOSE: To hire Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. for on-call Transportation Engineering services at Snohomish County Airport.
BACKGROUND:
• Snohomish County Airport/Paine Field (the Airport) has need of professional assistance with various transportation engineering services, such as planning and design of roadway channelization plans, parking lot layouts, intersection improvements and other transportation-related projects as required.
• Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. (Kimley-Horn) has been selected on the basis of their qualifications to perform the on-call Airport Transportation Engineering Services identified in Schedule B of RFQ 24-011BC.
• Kimley-Horn has a staff of over 8,300 personnel in 134 offices around the US, including a local office in Everett. They have provided airport landside services, including transportation services at 175 airports across the nation, including locally at Boeing Field, Spokane, and Paine Field as a subconsultant on the 2020 master plan update.
• This contract will be administered over four years, with the ability to extend for additional time at the option of the County.
• The required funds will be provided from the Airport fund and supplemented with grant funding when available. The total expenditure shall not exceed $1,000,000.
• The Airport seeks authorization for the Executive to execute this professional services contract with Kimley-Horn.
