PURPOSE: Authorize the execution of a $100,000 contract with Greater Seattle Partners (GSP) for the provision of regional economic development services in 2026. The contract will support global trade expansion, business recruitment, foreign direct investment, regional marketing, and coordination with Snohomish County’s designated Associate Development Organization (ADO). The agreement includes County representation on GSP governance bodies and quarterly reporting requirements. The total contract amount shall not exceed $100,000 and will be administered in accordance with County procurement and reporting requirements through December 31, 2026
BACKGROUND: On an annual basis, Snohomish County contracts for regional economic development services to support global trade expansion, business recruitment, foreign direct investment, and regional marketing initiatives. The attached motion (M-26-000) authorizes the execution of a $100,000 contract with Greater Seattle Partners (GSP) for the provision of these services in coordination with Snohomish County’s designated Associate Development Organization (ADO). The agreement is within the Executive’s authority to execute and administer consistent with approved budget appropriations. This contract utilizes a standard professional services agreement format that has been developed with, and reviewed by, both Prosecuting Attorney and Risk Management staff
