PURPOSE: Approval of Amendment No. 1 to Agreement PDB01-23 will allow Snohomish County Public Works to utilize Cornerstone General Contractors, Inc. to provide Progressive Design Builder Services necessary for the Arlington Operations Center Redevelopment project.

 

BACKGROUND: Snohomish County Public Works along with the Facilities department plans to redevelop the current Road/Bridge/Fleet Maintenance facility located at 19620 67th Ave NE in Arlington, WA The project will be phased with an initial Phase 1 scope to replace the road crew/administrative building, provide stormwater and utility improvements and mitigate the site’s soil contamination.   On 12/13/2023, Agreement PDB01-23 was executed between Snohomish County and Cornerstone General Contractors Inc. for the  Arlington Operations Center Redevelopment Project. The Agreement contemplates at least three amendments which provide scope and budget for three separate phases of work.   Amendment No.1 has been negotiated with Cornerstone General Contractors, Inc. for the Validation Plan Phase of the project which will determine the full viability of the project. Total budget for this ECAF is $794,376.00, which includes the agreement amount of $722,160.00 and an additional 10% contingency amount of $72,216.00, for allowable unforeseen costs.  The approving motion authorizes the Director of Public Works or Designee to approve and execute amendments to the agreement within this total budgeted amount.
