PURPOSE: The purpose of this ECAF is to approve and execute the Cost Share Agreement between Snohomish County and Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) to acquire certified Lidar data for the Snohomish County gap area.
BACKGROUND: Snohomish County is in need of certified Lidar data for the County’s gap area which is produced by the DNR. DNR will provide for the collection, processing, and delivery of Lidar data, imagery, and derivative products provided by a specific work order between DNR and Quantum Spatial, which is outlined in Mapping Services for Washington State Six Counties and the Thurston, Adams, and Snohomish Gap Lidar Project attached as Exhibit A, ‘Option B’. DNR, Snohomish County, and the cities of Everett and Marysville have agreed to share the cost of the data. Everett will provide their cost of $21,768 to the County, and Marysville will provide their cost of $7,056 to the County. The total cost for the data is $66,864, of which, the County will pay a total to DNR of $48,224 for the County’s, Everett’s and Marysville’s data, and DNR will cover the remaining $18,640. This Cost Share Agreement allows the County to acquire certified Lidar data from DNR.

DEPARTMENT FISCAL IMPACT NOTES: Sufficient funding for these services is included in the 2024 adopted IT budget. The cities of Everett and Marysville be providing $28,224 to the County for their portions of the services.
