PURPOSE: To hire Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. for engineering final design and bidding services at Snohomish County Airport on the RW 16R-34L North Rehabilitation project.
BACKGROUND:
• Snohomish County Airport requires Airfield Engineering Consulting Services in order to accomplish the rehabilitation of the northern 3,500’ of the airport’s Runway 16R-34L.
• Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (Jacobs) was selected on the basis of their qualifications to do the work as identified in RFQ 24-003BC.
• The work performed under this RFQ included a first contract in 2024 (Part A) consisting of preliminary design services. This second (Part B) contract will be for final design and bidding services, and a final (Part C) contract is anticipated in 2026 for construction engineering services, to be approved separately.
• The Airport seeks authorization for the Executive to execute the Part B professional services contract with Jacobs, for final design and bidding services.
• The contract is NTE $1,635,914 and terminates December 31, 2027 with the option of the County to supplement for additional time if needed.
