PURPOSE: Approval of Agreement CC04-24 will allow Snohomish County Public Works to use Skagit City Trucking School, LLC to provide Commercial Driver’s License Training to Road Maintenance staff.
BACKGROUND: The Road Maintenance Division of Public Works (PW) wishes to provide Commercial Driver’s License Training to Road Maintenance staff. Through a Request for Proposals, Public Works sought a consultant for Commercial Driver’s License Training. Skagit City Trucking School, LLC was one of three firms who responded to RFP-23-073LY and was selected through established Federal, State, and County policies and practices. The Consultant will provide Commercial Driver’s License Training courses for Road Maintenance staff as needed through December 31, 2025. A Training Services Agreement between Snohomish County and Skagit City Trucking School, LLC was negotiated. The total budget for this ECAF is $343,200, which includes the agreement amount of $312,000 and an additional 10% contingency amount of $31,200, for allowable unforeseen costs. The approving motion for the agreement authorizes the Public Works Director or Deputy Director to approve and execute amendments to the agreement within this total budgeted amount.
