PURPOSE: The purpose of this ECAF is to approve an interlocal agreement between Snohomish County and the South Snohomish County Fire and Rescue Regional Fire Authority (“South County Fire”) to provide technology and network services. The duration of this agreement shall be for five (5) years unless extended by mutual consent or terminated in writing by either party.
BACKGROUND: In order to mutually benefit the County and South County Fire, both organizations have agreed to share space within the County’s data center for the purpose of cross connections to State, County, and other participating agencies. This agreement allows for South County Fire to request services from the County via Work Order (WO). The total cost of all WOs against this agreement shall not exceed $80,000 over the five (5) year term of the agreement. The ILA under consideration covers IT services being provided to external agency partners. Approval of this ECAF will enable the IT Department to generate revenue, invoice the customers for services and receive County revenue.

DEPARTMENT FISCAL IMPACT NOTES: The revenue projected for this interlocal agreement shall not exceed $80,000 during the five (5) year term of this agreement and was anticipated in the 2023 IT submitted budget and will be included in IT’s 2024 requested budget.
