PURPOSE: To authorize the Snohomish County Executive to enter into a grant agreement with the North Region EMS and Trauma Care Council to support the Health Department’s injury and violence prevention efforts. This agreement will provide resources to advance fall prevention initiatives aimed at improving community safety and reducing fall-related injuries among residents.
BACKGROUND: The North Region EMS and Trauma Care Council has awarded funding to Snohomish County through its Injury and Violence Prevention Grant Program to strengthen local fall prevention strategies. This support will enhance the Health Department’s ability to deliver prevention education, expand access to safety resources, and improve health outcomes through targeted interventions that reduce fall-related injuries. By investing in these efforts, the county will be better equipped to promote community well-being and prevent injuries among vulnerable populations.
