PURPOSE: To hire RH2 Engineering, Inc. for on-call Sanitary Sewer engineering services at Snohomish County Airport.
BACKGROUND:
• Snohomish County Airport (Paine Field) owns and operates its own sanitary sewer system and has a contract with Mukilteo Water and Wastewater District (MWWD) for wastewater disposal.
• Airport staff requires technical assistance with evaluating, maintaining and improving the airport’s sewer system.
• RH2 Engineering, Inc. has been selected on the basis of their qualifications to do the on-call Sanitary Sewer engineering work identified in Schedule E of RFQ 24-011BC.
• RH2 has extensive experience in sanitary sewer engineering, including providing various evaluations, plans, specifications and cost estimates for over 30 years at Paine Field.
• This contract will be administered over four years, with the ability to extend for additional time at the option of the County.
• The required funds will be provided from the Airport fund and supplemented with grant funding when available. The total expenditure shall not exceed $1,000,000.
• The Airport seeks authorization for the Executive to execute this professional services contract with RH2 Engineering, Inc.
