PURPOSE: Approval of the agreement between Roosevelt Water Association Inc. and Snohomish County for the removal, and disposal of 178 linear feet of existing AC-Watermain and replacement of 181 linear feet of Ductile Iron-Watermain during construction of the Culvert Replacement near 10101 167th Ave SE project on French Creek.

 

BACKGROUND: The County has a current active culvert replacement project being designed near 10101 167th Ave SE (French Creek).

Roosevelt Water Association has 178 linear feet of existing AC-Watermain that will be impacted by the project.

The County and Roosevelt Water Association Inc. have determined it is in their best interest to incorporate the removal, disposal and replacement of Roosevelt Water Association’s facilities into the County’s construction plans and contract for the Project.

Snohomish County sees this as a benefit to the County of having a single construction contractor doing both the road work and utility work on site.

Roosevelt Water Association Inc. has agreed to reimburse the County for the actual costs the County will incur in the removal, disposal and replacement of Roosevelt Water Association’s facilities. The estimated cost of the work the County is performing for Roosevelt Water Association is approximately $61,960.
