PURPOSE: Council authorization of application to the Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO) for the Interurban Trail Rehabilitation project. The authorization form identifies personnel authorized to execute grant agreements and amendments, and conduct day to day activities, as needed for successful application.
BACKGROUND: The RCO was founded in 1964 and since that time has distributed over billions of dollars to recreation and conservation projects across the state. Snohomish County has been actively involved with RCO and has been successful in securing over sixty grants from the agency to support a wide variety of projects within the County. ROC is accepting applications for funding starting in 2023 and are submitting for a section of the Interurban Trail to be rehabilitated. RCO’s Application Resolution/Authorization from verifies organizational support for the application and authorizes personnel identified on the form to execute grant agreements and amendments, conduct day-to-day grant activities. Because this form authorizes contract execution and amendments, approval is a County Council action.
