PURPOSE: To authorize the County Executive for Snohomish County Airport to execute a contract with Snohomish County 911 for radio services for Operations and Maintenance at the Snohomish County Airport.
BACKGROUND:
• Snohomish County 911 is the dispatching body for all emergencies in Snohomish County.
• Snohomish County 911 is responsible for providing public safety communications and radio system management within Snohomish County.
• Snohomish County Airport Operations and Maintenance have radios used for operational, maintenance and business purposes and is contracting to utilize the Snohomish County 911 system until the airport completes their own radio system.
• The current ILA Snohomish County 911 - Current ILA Snohomish County 911 <https://sno911.org/about/interlocal-bylaws-corporate-documents/> (attached) outlines additional services that Snohomish County 911 can provide.
• Snohomish County 911 will provide radio system access for six (6) months at a cost of $40 per radio plus a one-time $500 fee for initial programming.
• Snohomish County Airport Operations anticipate approximately 50 radios online before the expiration of the current agreement
