PURPOSE: To authorize the County Executive to execute Reimbursable Agreement AJW-FN-WSA-23-NM-06088 with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to fund planning services in support of Runway 16R-34L reconstruction.
BACKGROUND: .
Q Snohomish County Airport recently contracted with Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. under RFQ 24-003BC to provide Engineering Services for design of the airport’s Runway 16R-34L reconstruction project.
Q This project will likely result in impacts to FAA-owned equipment on the airfield, including lighting and navigational aid equipment.
Q The airport is not authorized to modify or replace FAA-owned equipment without their approval.
Q This agreement would authorize funding for preliminary planning services to assess the impacts to FAA facilities as a result of the airport’s project, and provide the airport with any requirements or recommendations related to FAA facilities impacted by the project.
Q The Airport seeks authorization for the Executive to execute Reimbursable Agreement AJW-FN-WSA-23-NM-06088 with the FAA, to provide these services. The agreement is for NTE $23,995.31 and terminates no later than 5 years from the date of execution.
Q The FAA has requested that the County execute the agreement first, and will return the fully executed copy after receipt.
Q Additional amendment(s) to this agreement may be needed in the future pending the results of the FAA review, and facilities impacted.
