PURPOSE: Approval of Motion authorizing the 2023 Local Public Works Fund Loan program recommendations.
BACKGROUND: Since 2015 the County has been provided funding for the County and other local governments to assist in funding public works projects located wholly or partially within the County as authorized by SCC 4.117. On October 27,2023 the Public Works department called for applications related to the 2023 Local Public Works Assistance Fund (LPWAF) Loan program. Two local governments, the City of Mountlake Terrace and the City of Stanwood, submitted applications to the Infrastructure Coordinating Committee (ICC) for consideration. On December 9, 2023 ICC met and reviewed the applications. Per the attached motion, ICC is recommending Council approval of both projects in the total amount of $1,565,962. Additionally, the attached motion authorizes the Director of Public Works to execute the loan agreements within the total Council approved amount of $1,565,962.
