PURPOSE: To donate automobiles no longer in use by the County to non-profit organizations who support the poor/infirmed
BACKGROUND: Snohomish County Council approved Ordinance No. 23-095 on October 25, 2023 approving the disposition of surplus county vehicles allowing the automobiles to be donated to a non-profit organization that provides services for the poor and/or infirmed under SCC 4.46. The Department of Facilities and Fleet received the surplus request of three (3) county owned vehicles from the Fleet Division. The vehicles to be donated are described as:NH107 is a 2007 Chevrolet Malibu; 45,960 miles; VIN 1G1ZS57N77F286056 NH119; a 2017 Ford Fusion; 59,674 miles; VIN 3FA6P0G72HR229872 NH124; a 2017 Ford Fusion; 57,782 miles; VIN 3FA6P0G77HR279084.The Department of Facilities and Fleet received numerous applications from organizations requesting donations of the vehicle(s) to their organizations through the process of application as a non-profit organization that provides services to the poor and/or infirmed.The Department of Human Services reviewed and ranked the applications and determined the following organizations were qualified and ranked the highest to receive the vehicles: Holman Recovery Center will receive vehicle NH119 as described above.
