PURPOSE: To authorize approval of Professional Services Agreement SWMCC01-25 with Herrera Environmental Consulting Services.
BACKGROUND: Surface Water Management’s (SWM) Lake Management Program supports the protection and restoration of water quality and ecological health in over 36 lakes throughout Snohomish County, working in partnership with local communities. The program includes routine water quality monitoring by volunteers and professionals, lake-specific problem assessments, and the implementation of lake restoration and aquatic plant management efforts. To support these activities, SWM has selected Herrera Environmental Consultants through RFP-24-0360RB to provide limnological consulting services. SWM proposes to move forward with a three-year contract in the amount of $105,000 to provide additional technical expertise to guide lake monitoring, analysis, and management decisions.
