EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION:  Approved

 

PURPOSE: To obtain executive approval of Capital Grant Agreement number 25-92701-054.

 

BACKGROUND: In December of 2024 the Washington State Department of Commerce released RFA Number CBPG-024, Clean Buildings Performance Grants.  Facilities and Fleet applied to this grant for multiple projects. On March 7th, 2025, Facilities and Fleet was notified of a contingent award for $43,195.70 to install submetering at four County owned buildings: Cathcart Way Operations Center building B, Fair Park building 100, 500, and 604.  The grant amount is expected to cover 100% of incurred costs for this work.  Installing electrical submetering at these locations allows the buildings to be brought into compliance with the Clean Buildings Act through the Energy Use Intensity (EUI) pathway and allow for continuous energy efficiency monitoring of the largest buildings at each campus.  The deadline for the work to be completed is June 30, 2025.  Facilities and Fleet is currently on track to complete the project(s) on time with one of our contracted electrical partners.
