PURPOSE: The purpose of this ECAF is to approve Amendment 1 to the Interlocal Agreement between Snohomish County and the City of Monroe to increase the city's internet bandwidth and maximum not-to-exceed amount.
BACKGROUND: In order to mutually benefit the County and City of Monroe (Monroe) , both organizations agreed to share space within the County's data center for the purpose of cross connections to State, County, and other participating agencies. The County and the Monroe entered into a six-year Interlocal Agreement in 2021 which allows the Monroe to request services from the County via Supplemental Work Order (SWO), with a not to exceed amount of $20,000. Monroe has increased their internet bandwidth from 5 Mbps to 80 Mbps which results in a usage increase. Monroe and the County have agreed to a monthly fee increase beginning February 1, 2025 of $534.60 or $6,415.20 annually for the increased bandwidth. Monroe's new annual fee which is invoiced in May will be Eight Thousand Two Hundred Fifteen Dollars and Twenty Cents ($8,215.20), and the maximum "not to exceed" amount is being increased to $40,000.00.
