EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION: Approved
PURPOSE: To approve and sign two interlocal agreements for project recipients for 2025 REET II funded projects with City of Granite Falls and Marysville.
BACKGROUND: The County Executive and the County Council have determined that it is consistent with the Snohomish County Parks and Recreation Element and is in the public interest of County residents to participate in joint undertakings with local municipalities to increase recreational opportunities and facility capacity. Amendment #2 to the 2025-2030 CIP approved by Ordinance 23-120, included $1,600,000 of REET II funds, collected pursuant to chapter 82.46 RCW, to be split equally between the five council districts for Council/City Partnership Projects. The Council identified various projects for inclusion in the 2025/2026 County/City Partnership Projects. There are a total of 19 projects that have been selected in 2025/2026 with Cities and Towns that require an interlocal agreement to provide the funding for these projects. There are two of those project agreements for a total amount of $150,000 that are included in this ECAF that are ready for Executive approval.
