PURPOSE: To obtain Executive signature and approval of seven individualized Tribal Notification letters.
BACKGROUND: In 2024 COM introduced the Clean Buildings Performance Grant (CBPG-024). Snohomish County Facilities applied for two separate projects. The Electrical Submetering project was selected as a successful application. This project will install electrical submeters in 3 buildings at the Evergreen State Fair Park and at one building at the Cathcart Way Operations Center. Installing submeters is expected to be the least expensive path towards Clean Buildings Act compliance for the affected buildings. CBPG-024 awards are funded through State Capital funds. As such, Governor's Executive Order 21-02 applies. This requires notification to any Tribes who may have affected cultural resources as a result of the project, and to submit form "EZ2" to the Washington State Department of Historic Preservation for review. Tribes having an interest in the project area were identified using the WA SHPO Tribal contact map.

DEPARTMENT FISCAL IMPACT NOTES: There are no fiscal implications as a result of sending these letters. Facilities and fleet will be sending a grant agreement separately which will include fiscal/contract information.
