PURPOSE: Approval of Interlocal Agreement for miscellaneous maintenance services with Community Transit.
BACKGROUND:
- The County and Community Transit executed previous Aid Agreements for Park & Ride Facilities and Transit Based Projects for Municipal Services initially on March 11, 2009 and again on March 13, 2014. The most recent agreement was extended by mutual agreement on November 20, 2018 and by amendment on November 16, 2021. This agreement expired on December 31, 2024.
- The County and Community Transit agree that it is mutually beneficial to continue working together cooperatively.
- A new agreement is proposed to begin upon the County Executive's signature and expire on December 31, 2029.
- Pursuant to the IGA and Chapter 39.34 RCW, CT wishes to continue to receive miscellaneous maintenance services on its property, roads and rights-of-way, and the County is agreeable to continue providing the same.
- This agreement is entered into under the regulatory authority of the Interlocal Cooperation Act, Chapter 39.34 RCW.
