PURPOSE: Agreement to allow Snohomish County Region 1 SWAT members to attend training that is paid for or reimbursed by Seattle PD using UASI funds.
BACKGROUND: The Seattle Police Department (SPD) is the designated recipient to distribute funds and/or equipment from the Federal Government via the Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) grant. This is a yearly distribution. The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office is a designated sub-recipient to receive funds and/or equipment that is administered under this award. This agreement will allow Regions 1 SWAT members from the Sheriff’s Office and Everett PD to attend training that is paid for or reimbursed by Seattle PD using UASI funds.
