PURPOSE: Executive approval of Job Order Contract Work Order with Forma Construction Company.
BACKGROUND: The playground equipment at Forsgren Park reached the end of its useful life and was removed for safety November 2023. Through a design process with community feedback, a preferred design for new playground equipment was selected. Parks seeks to hire Forma Construction Company through the Job Order Contracting (JOC) RFP-22-015DW Agreement; award approved by Snohomish County Council Motion No. 22-266. Construction work to install the play area at Forsgren Park is proposed for $395,561.59 (plus applicable sales tax at 10.5%) and covers work described in JC-24-13-F Forsgren Park Play Area Renovation Cost Proposal_R1 and summarized: installation of new playground equipment and synthetic grass surfacing; installing a new concrete curb and demolition of two concrete ramps.
