PURPOSE: Develop a countywide Community Wildfire Protection Plan and supporting local annexes.

BACKGROUND: The US Forest Service makes Community Wildfire Defense Grants (CWDG) available to local jurisdictions by passing it through the WA Department of Natural Resources for wildfire risk reducing planning and project development at the community level. This funding will be used on a countywide basis to develop and draft a wildfire protection plan that serves as the Wildfire Chapter of the Snohomish County Hazard Mitigation Plan.
