PURPOSE: To obtain the Executive’s signature on the 2025 Application for the STOP Formula Grant Program.
BACKGROUND: The Prosecuting Attorney’s Office is submitting its application for the 2025 STOP Formula Grant (SFY 2024), and requests the Executive’s signature on the application. The Executive’s signature is needed on pages 1, 4, 10, 13, and 17. The purpose of the STOP program is to support communities in the development of comprehensive and collaborative strategies to address domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, and/or stalking. OCVA’s goal is to hold offenders accountable while meeting the needs of the victims. The PAO uses the grant award to support a deputy prosecuting attorney who is assigned to the prosecution of DV cases. The $40,135 grant begins January 1, 2025, and ends December 31, 2025. Per SCC 2.10.10(28), the Executive can approve all documents associated with grants included in a department’s Grant Work Plan. The STOP Grant is included in the PAO’s 2025 Grant Work Plan (ECAF 2024-2027, motion 24-380).
