PURPOSE: Foster professional growth through increased self-awareness of one’s interpersonal communication needs and styles. Use this new-found information to continuously improve team building in DEM.
BACKGROUND: About 85% of DEM’s staff is new since the COVID era. Combined with a hybrid work schedule, it has been challenging for staff to learn how to communicate and work well together. There is a high need for this to continuously improve so that during emergency operations center activations, the team functions smoothly at a high level.
