PURPOSE: To respond to a letter from Sno Valley Farms’ concerns regarding the Snohomish River Regional Trail Project (“SRRT”)
BACKGROUND: Snohomish County (the “County”), in partnership with the City of Everett, is planning to develop the Snohomish River Trail, a new regional trail, eventually planned to connect the City of Everett to the City of Monroe. The County intends to develop the Snohomish River Trail, in part, on the County-owned Assessor Parcel ID Nos. 28051000301000, 28051500100600, 28051400101000, 28051300301600 & 28051300301700. As a preliminary step to trail development, the County conducted a critical areas reconnaissance on its property to help determine the route for the trail project. Sno Valley Farms delivered a letter of concern for the trail and the impacts on the farming operations from a trail route adjacent to the farms. County is responding to the letter to provide more detail and information regarding the preliminary assessments being conducted regarding the SRRT project exploring the County’s trail alignment options.
