EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION: Approved
PURPOSE: The Snoco Pride Foundation requests OSJ Sponsorship Funding to support annual Pride events and community outreach programs in Snohomish County. These initiatives aim to foster a sense of belonging and promote inclusivity for the LGBTQIA+ community. Specifically, the requested funds will be used to organize educational workshops, support services, and large-scale community events such as local pride events. These activities are designed to empower individuals, educate the public, and celebrate diversity, ultimately contributing to a more inclusive and supportive community for all. Funding will be used to pay for materials, event supplies, and communications in support of diversity, equity and inclusion.
BACKGROUND: The Office of Social Justice has been directed to provide funding in support of diversity, equity and inclusions to organizations operating within Snohomish County.
