EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION: Approved
PURPOSE: The Arlington Back-to-School event, put on by VOAWW’s Arlington Community Resource Center, seeks to provide free backpacks and school supplies, along with food and fun, to low-income families with students starting a new school year. An award from the OSJ will help purchase these district-approved supplies and backpacks and provide support to the VOAWW ACRC team for the event. Sponsorship funding will be used specifically for supplies for the VOAWW's Arlington backpack program.
BACKGROUND: The Office of Social Justice has been directed to provide sponsorship funding in support of DEI work completed in Snohomish County.
