PURPOSE: Edmonds Waterfront Center has fostered formal partnerships with other non-profit organizations that champion social justice and cultural awareness including Latino Educational Training Institute, Korean Community Service Center, Asian Service Center, and Lift Every Voice Legacy. During the weeklong event, seniors, families, and people of all ages will enjoy celebrating the legacy of Juneteenth. Sponsorship funding will be used to provide supplies, food and event costs for this cultural celebration.
BACKGROUND: The Office of Social Justice has been directed to provide sponsorship funding to organizations operating in Snohomish County in support of diversity, equity and inclusion.
